Description

Overview

A very interesting and highly recommended trek — especially in summer, when the cool mountain air offers a refreshing contrast to Marrakech’s heat.
This 2-day adventure in the High Atlas Mountains takes you through beautiful valleys, remote Berber villages, and rugged mountain landscapes, leading to the summit of Mount Toubkal (4,167 m) — the highest peak in North Africa.

The route passes through traditional mountain villages connected only by narrow winding paths. Along the way, you’ll experience authentic rural life, warm Berber hospitality, and breathtaking views at every turn.

Itinerary

🗓️ Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Toubkal Refuge

Early morning departure from Marrakech by private transfer to Imlil (1,740 m), where you will meet your mountain guide and mule team.
Begin your trek through stunning valleys and small Berber hamlets, passing the Marabout of Sidi Chamharouch — a famous pilgrimage site.
Continue climbing gradually along the rocky path until you reach the Toubkal Refuge (Neltner, 3,207 m), surrounded by majestic peaks.

Enjoy lunch on the way, dinner, and overnight stay at the mountain refuge.
